Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year Roosevelt Bulldogs!

Dear RMS Family:

Welcome Back to a new and exciting school year at Roosevelt Middle School! We hope you were able to relax and make special memories with your loved ones. Class of 2026 welcome to the Bulldog family! We look forward to seeing your academic and personal growth over the next 3 years.

We are excited about all that this new school year has to offer and look forward to working with our students and families as we focus on continuous improvement in teaching and learning, and all areas of our school environment.  As we begin this academic journey, we want to share with you some exciting developments that will make this year truly special for our students.

Student Voice and Choice in Electives
At Roosevelt Middle School, we believe in empowering our students to shape their own learning experiences.  We are pleased to inform you that during the last school year, our 6th and 7th grade students had the opportunity to exercise their Student Voice and Choice in selecting their elective courses for this academic year.  By allowing students to explore subjects they are passionate about, we aim to foster a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.  We are confident that this approach will inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper connection to their education.

ICARE To Be A Bulldog
The spirit of being a Bulldog goes beyond our mascot.  At Roosevelt Middle School, we embody the ICARE core values: Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.  These core values guide us in every aspect of our school community.  We encourage our students to exhibit integrity in their actions, work collaboratively with their peers, take responsibility for their choices, show respect for everyone, and strive for excellence in their academic and personal growth.  Together, we create a nurturing environment where our Bulldogs can flourish.

School is set to begin on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 10:25 a.m. on the first day. This year, our theme, “Every Student Matters; Every Moment Counts,” revolves around the importance of recognizing the unique qualities of each student and cherishing every moment of their educational journey.  We believe that every student matters, and their individual strengths and aspirations enrich our school community.  Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to creating meaningful and memorable experiences for every student, ensuring that every moment counts in their growth and development.

As parents and guardians, your partnership is invaluable to us.  We encourage open communication and invite you to actively participate in your child’s education.  Together, we can nurture a supportive and inclusive environment where our students can thrive and reach their full potential.

We are thrilled to embark on this journey with you and your child.  Let’s make this school year one filled with growth, joy and success. Please refer to your email often for more information as we come close to the start of the school year.
Once again, welcome back to Roosevelt Middle School! Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

With Bulldog Pride,
